So, yes, I rock climb. My best rock climbing experiences include tackling my first 5.9 outdoor climb, roped-in on a multi-pitch climb and looking out over the countryside of New York, and being on a climbing wall at the New England Patriot's Training Camp with a Army recruiter and the whole crowd cheering, "Go, Mom!" as I made it to the top!

I also study Tai Kwon Do with my kids. David is a black belt. Dayna and I are brown belts.

I walk my dog--mine is on the left, my parents' dog is on the right. They are wearing Irish colors because they are both an Irish breed--Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. They even celebrated St. Patrick's Day by marching in a parade!

I love to travel. I have been to England, Ireland, France, Italy, Honduras, Mexico, Canada and the Czech Republic. These pictures are from Prague. My mother's heritage is Czech. My father's family has a mix of English, German, Irish and who knows what else. We do know that on my father's side we are related to the poet, John Greenleaf Whittierand  also Susannah Martin, who stood accused in the Salem Witch Trials.

The cows--well--who doesn't like cows? I've never owned cows, but I have lived on a "farm". Actually I lived in a thirteen room school house in Meckling, South Dakota. Our community was so small, we couldn't even be called a town because only 80 people lived there. Our "house" had chalkboards in almost every room, a gym, a stage and a three bus garage. The garage became a barn. We had horses, goats, sheep, ducks, guinea hens, dogs, cats, and I think that's all. I still love goats, but don't have one--yet. Just a dog--Indiana Jones--and two goldfish--Starfish and Wolverine.

The cows above were in Prague for the 2004 Cow Parade. We had a cow parade that same year in Harrisburg, PA. Who would have thought that I'd be able to see two cow parades? If you want to see a cow from the Harrisburg parade, just visit my Activity page. You'll meet Argyle, a sock-eating cow, who answers that eternal question, "Where do the socks in the laundry go when they disappear?"
