Hey, did you
hear the news?
Writerdoc is available to speak to your
group.
Want an award winning author to speak to
your school or group?
Here are some
options:
1. A
younger crowd? Fire up the kids' imaginations with rhyming
games, story-telling, and cool nose facts. Martha will engage the
children with a delightful talk about writing. She'll
share where ideas come from and share her fabulously fun
book--STOP THAT NOSE! Sure to excite and educate! Talk can be
tailored for the ages of the children involved. Appropriate for the
youngest child through fourth grade. (And anyone young at
heart!)
2. Kids a
little older? Then schedule a workshop to discuss the
process of creating a book from start to finish. This talk will
follow STOP THAT NOSE! through the entire creative process,
from first glimmer of an idea through revision to a
published book. Appropriate for fourth grade through
middle and even upper school. Wouldn't your creative writing
students love to learn about the
publishing process?
3. Book
Discussion Groups? Would you like to talk with an author
about the whole creative process? Certain to enlighten, entertain,
and educate.
4. Creativity
Techniques? Dr. Martha Peaslee Levine has lectured on the use
of writing to improve mental health. She uses journaling in
therapy and for her own self-discovery. Schedule a workshop to help
your classes, bookgroups, or other forums jumpstart their creativity
and discover new ways of looking at words and the world. Her
hi/lo book THE DRAGON INSIDE focused on
the healing nature of art. Let her help spark your
creativity!
5. Book
readings, signings or talks? Activities can be designed
for any group's needs.

Want to know what
other's think? C. March, a 5th and 6th grade English teacher
says, "Wow! Martha's presentation to my class of young fifth grade
writers was 'Right on the Nose'! The kids received a great
understanding of what it takes to produce a finished product, and
promised me they wouldn't gripe when I ask them for yet, 'one more
revision'! Martha related brilliantly with the class, adding just
the right proportions of humor, gross details, and fact. The
children were full of questions. Martha was able to tap into their
creative side and inspire my young writers with a motivating and
informative presentation. Her follow-up Writers' Workshop involved,
motivated and inspired every student."
